We're back, babes. It was time.

So crack a beer or four and get the pregame started. Go Bills.

Harts and Dubs are back on the mean streets of Manhattan. Intoxication and takes ensue. Come for the slurred speech, stay for the sounds of a garbage truck parked next to us.

Hashtag nachos.

Music by Chance the Rapper, DATA and DJ Shadow. Yeah you know the one.

The boys are back. In this episode, with a delayed release due to Dubs being equal parts overworked and forgetful, The Outlander, The Commander and The Barrister gather from their disparate locations outside of WNY to discuss, in large measure, the value in recognizing expat stories when we discuss the City of Good Neighbors. We also make bad jokes, curse a bunch and talk about beer, the Sabres and awful sports media, as per protocol.

Music by Avalanches.

We recorded a podcast via Skype and our special guest was basically heading through a series of loud cocktail parties, PA announcements and ancient Pennsylvanian infrastructure. It was grand.

Topics discussed include the Bills starting QB spot being granted to His Magesty Tygod Taylor, the hilarity of the Washington Redsk..er... i mean Football Team, Russ Brandon being a snake, the late Al Davis and his weird looking son, Tim Graham's ethics in sports journalism, Eichel and Moulson shacking up, gooey prospect goodness on the horizon, the Bills' prospects at a 5-2 record, Tom Brady's hyperbaric chamber, Marvel gems, and MUCH MUCH MORE.

Seriously, this one is long. Apologies for the ambient noise but we're from the fucking street, fam. It's all in the game.

In this slightly (read: very) belated publication of the Buffalo sports podcast you love to hate, we give you a glimpse into the week the was 8 days ago - before James Harrison called his sons entitled pussies, before the Bills signed IK and Tyrod Taylor became a thing, before Paul Cambria stormed Bedenko's Facebook page and gave us a glimpse of the best defense attorney talent Buffalo has to offer. 'Twas a simpler time.

It's another long one. Take breaks if you need to, but come back so we can finish the job. It's Paul Olczak's first CrapTastiCast, after all, and we wanted to treat him right.

Music by way of The Jambrones, OK Go, EXGF, Disclosure, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. Some good, good shit in the episode, y'all.

Happy Endings with Barrister and Scizz! - Episode 5

Y'all, we recorded this four nights ago but then a whole hit load of life happened and fuck you for asking. But seriously. Work, a mass of yard work, summer hangouts and loads of Lagunitas chased by spliffs. Here we are.

It's the offseason of most things we talked about so nothing is all that out-of-date apart from some baseball talk - the Mets swept those Nationals shut the front door. Delightful. Life filled with delight.

Podcast featuring rants about Russ Brandon, Tom Brady, born-again Bills fans, Uber-less Buffalo, our plans for Week 1 tailgates and a few other things that I can't remember since I haven't actually listened to this and just hastily tossed in some musical selections without worrying about the propriety of taking on American Methodists, among others.

Good to be back, kids.

Music by way of Bleachers, Oddisee, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Priory.

Go Bills.

I am so fucking pumped about this. Basically my favoritest thing we did in this podcast game was the last band draft we did (I received the best draft grades on Yahoo! but the worst on ESPN, fuck them), so it was time to do the damn thing yet again.

It is their baby, so I can only claim scant credit for the content about to hit your ear holes, but I'm joined by @Boner_Shorts and @jambrones. Theya re rad as fuck.

Episode 45: Guy Fieri, the Ethics of Tanking and Your Mom Gave Me a Rash

We're back bitches. For how long, only the gods can tell. Probably a while.

Shit has been busy as hell, I mean fuck me, we recorded this nearly 90 minute shit show of oratorial magic Wednesday fucking night, and here we are. It's Saturday, I have a weird shame glaze all over me, and it's a done deal.

We talk Sabres, Bills, TV chefs, the creepiness of John Wawrow on twitter, and SBA's overwhelming hatred of Long Island.

Music by way of The Jambrones, The Lost Boyz, Phoebe Ryan, The Tallest Man on Earth and Haim. Incidentally, I am a 32 year old man and am seriously considering seeing Haim open for Taylor Swift in the Meadowlands this summer. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Happy Endings with Barrister and Scizz - Episode 3

Hey, we're back! We predictably got too busy and left a huge whole between episode releases, and did so within the first month of this podcast's young life. Solid work from your favorite Buffalo expat sports internet reality show stars.

We get buzzed on Little Sumpin Ale and our own egos as we talk some serious nonsense about our Bills and Sabres, enormous tangential discussions of television, porn video mosaics of historical figures, and our mutual loathing for an HBO personality who is neither smart nor funny, but is too conceited to notice.

Music by way of Bleachers, Nas, Smallpools and Jackie Fucking Wilson.

Happy Endings with Barrister and Scizz! - Episode 2

Hey we did it! We kept to our promise to find an hour to talk this week and record that talking and make jokes and shit!

Barrister talks about his new job, Scizz talks about running, and the two bemoan idiot Doug Marrone, the weird status of the Sabres and some other stuff and other things that make them laugh.

Happy Endings with Barrister and Scizz! - Episode 1

Our little website adventure has been a haven for negativity, as a rule, and it's about time we tried to change that paradigm. Born out of Scizz's brain, we're taking a crack at a weekly podcast aimed at being positive. Positive enough to keep Scizz motivated to stay in the business of producing oral internet content without slipping into a downward spiral of rage and infinite sadness.

Enough of sad stuff that keeps us yelling too much.

We bring you Happy Endings with Barrister and Scizz.

Hope you like it. No big deal if you don't. We'll try to keep getting better.

Episode 44: All Aboard the USS Inappropriately Tanked

We recorded a podcast. Our intentions were good, but the first two takes were lost in my computer so we by the time any recorded content was created, we were multiple drinks deep and had lost all sense of boundaries. Renn tries to keep it together, SBA tries to imagine being anywhere else other than Long Island, and Dubs tries to be as offensive as possible while pretending he knows stuff about sports.

Sabres. Bills. West Wing. EJ Manuel is a fucking idiot. Content.

I'm so, so sorry.

The Casted Foot - Episode 10: The Spanish Inquisition

Hey we're wrapping up the global football preseason and are kicking it up a notch with some La Liga coverage brought to your earholes by Paul (@pvo78), who apparently took Spanish for 7 years and is thus some kind of Spanish football expert. We talk Premier League as well and discuss Paul's recent allegiance switch.

The Casted Foot - Episode 9: Anybody Down With Pol Pot?

Kicking off a second season of this soccer-themed podcast, after a baffling hiatus during a massive soccer tournament this summer, The Barrister is joined by The Defenseman to talk Liverpool, the Premier League, vicious dictators, the Bills (barely acceptable tangential takes), and exclusive information about Liverpool's recent signings. Little known fact: The Defenseman has an uncanny ability to research the back stories of European footballers.

Hosted by Joe from Buffalo Wins, this synergistic podcast is focused on the Bills news of the day - namely Marcell Dareus, Jerry Hughes and their fast cars, and how we feel about #99 given his recent arrests and their closeness in time. We ramble and rant and ultimately get to talking about the future of the Bills and what kind of legacy we're wading through following Ralph Wilson's death.

YO. The NFL Draft is pretty stupid, so it's not that hard to beat, but we may have just crushed it into a million pieces.

Dubs, @jambrones and @Boner_Shorts take you for a ride. Embrace it.

A mock draft, oral and aural. Except instead of pretending we have any impact on the decisions of a professional football team, we do what we do ... draft a dream band and talk about the music and musicians we adore.

It rules.

Back from the dead, The Scizz joins The Barrister for some delightful conversation wherein the pair take endless potshots at everyone, talk about the pitiful Buffalo hockey club, ponder Donald Trump and the meaning of life, and discuss the Wayans brothers. And other stuff probably.

Music from The Jambrones, LCD Soundsytem, Pearl Jam, and Electric Guest

Barrister and Phil (@Mechaphil) talk Premier League and Liverpool and laugh about Vincent Tan and make jokes and then everything gets fucked with technology so our Manchester City-supporting special guest has to wait until next week.

Joining me to talk about the events, providing the hot fire soccer takes, are Brett (@BLeez17), Peter (@peterberkes) and Ryan (@goosesroost)... each Buffalo fans and each fans of the EPL. Albeit fans of squads in the EPL that deserve to die of cholera.

After Barrister and Beardo reveled in red, they opened up the floor to The Deeg's Manchester City supporter, The Outlander, and brought the beloved Peter Berkes on to make sense of his Hotspurs.  Berkes is arguably the most famous of Deeg podcast guests that aren't named Jeremy White and/or Nick Mendola, a distinction that seems much less impressive now that it's written out like that. Go figure.

The EPL approaches the frantic fixtures of the holidays, and it's the funnest time of the sporting year when your teams are from Buffalo and no longer relevant.

This "Part 2" was split in case you hate LIverpool and got nauseous listening to Part 1 and now want a less, I don't know, fellating set of takes. You should still listen to Part 1, too. It's boss.

Musical interludes from A Tribe Called Quest, Pusha T and Frightened Rabbit.

It was a fun weekend in the Premier League. It was a better weekend to be a supporter of the Liverpool Football Club. A stunning win at White Hart Lane, so The Barrister and good old Beardo talk LFC, deconstruct the good times, and laugh at Tottenham like assholes.

Barrister chats with new-ish Deeg member and previously virginal podcaster, The Commander.

They talk about the Sabres being terrible, the Bills being fun again, media stuff, soccer (?) and try to keep this short but fail ever so miserably. Whatever, The Commander needed to get his feet wet with something long (giggity), and our podcast hoster hasn't been used in over a month.

Lots of music with this one - Ugly Duckiing, Homeboy Sandman, Phil Collins, Gorillaz and 2Pac.

Be honest, none of you expected us to actually have a second episode of this now incredibly-famous-in-a-very-infintesimally-small-niche-market podcast ever, much less the very next week. If only to prove you wrong, or to allow Barrister one small moment of joy before moving to the suburbs, here is Episode 2. We are, from time to time, and at some times more than others, going to have a party. There will be cake.

A new podcast series two years in the making!

Back from his self-imposed, terrible sports-motivated hiatus, Yachtsman joins the Barrister for some hot sound-based takes. Unlikely to write for the site anytime this decade, El Yachtero's willingness to participate was largely based on the fact that he could do it while hungover and drinking. Fair enough.

Linking up at the 11th Street Bar, the home of Liverpool's NY Supporter's Club, Yachtsman and Barrister talk about LFC's opening win versus Stoke fucking City while quickly pulling down cigarettes on a lovely Saturday morning. Good times were had, adult beverages imbibed at outrageously early hours, and a podcast was made.

Honestly, we talk about enough bullshit with no real direction that I should probably give you some sort of road map but absolutely have no desire to be of such assistance. You'll love it all the same.

Appearances from, as usual, the Barrister and the Apologist, and guest spots from our friend who is a Red Sox fan and my buddy JB who split sometime in the 7th inning. Musical interludes from Jefferson Airplane, The Beastie Boys, Ozomatli, Walk the Moon and Radiohead.

The Barrister

This was ruminating for a while, as the BroneCast regulars Jeff (@Jambrones) and Jon (@Boner_Shorts) had been discussing their mutual love of musicals with me for a while .... a love I, of course, dorkily share. So, since the guys had successfully started a music podcast it made sense to devote and episode to this genre sooner or later.

And then Jason Collins came out and we made the potentially offensive and easy leap to "hey let's get on that showtunes episode to celebrate the gay guy!!"

The Bone Man, aka Jon, picked a couple of beauties this week: "You Have to Be Carefully Taught" from South Pacific and "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel. Quite the pair of great Rodgers & Hammerstein tunes, replete with great inspirational messages to pay seems-like-snark-but-is-really-genuine tribute to Mr. Collins and all people who have struggled to publicly come out as their true selves.

This is as belated as we've been in a while. Maybe the dad among us shouldn't promise to edit anymore, particularly on a noght of such heavy drinking. With esteemed Deeg colleague Monsieur Boner Shorts in town, things got weird.

I won't bother recapping it, except to say this was recorded the night of Tuesday, March 26th, in the midst of Sabres, Knicks, USMNT, Clippers/Mavs and shots of whiskey. Also, the Scizz was there, so if you love the soft tones of his Franklinville accent, make sure to join in the fun with a download.

I don't even care that the title of this episode rips off 'Friends' - it's accurate. We're mean in this one. Well, really only with respect to certain creepy members of a certain local newspaper's sports staff.

Recorded during and after the Sabres' most recent game - a win?!?? - against the Maple Leaves of Toronto, we talk plenty about the Sabres, how sad we are about the lack of silver linings this season, and then whistfully predict the inevitable Cup run.  Oh, and Joe from Buffalo Wins makes a cameo to talk about striking out with the smokeshow bartender at Gleason's, further adding to the list of things we'll make fun of him about when he returns to Twitter on Easter.

Musical additions by the way of Jefferson Airplane, Homeboy Sandman and Kasabian.

When watching your favorite team gets this hard, you need to find ways to make it fun. For most of us, this requires a great deal of alcohol, but here at the Deeg, recording podcasts makes it extra special. And so it was that the other night the Barrister and I stood outside our local pub and discussed a wide variety of topics while the Sadbres played not tough against the Flyers. (Note to Darcy: Just because there's a fight, it doesn't mean you played tough.)

Ok, so we mostly talked about basketball. Discussing the Sabres for more than 30 seconds gives us anxiety attacks at this point. But there are other reasons to listen too. We briefly discuss the brawl at the World Baseball Classic. Our ol' pal, Joe, stops by (he writes for a different blog, I can't remember what it's called). And there are highlights of our Rockupation of the Prudential Center last Thursday.

All in all… it's pretty mediocre.

But hey, it's Tuesday! What the hell else do you have to do?

The Apostles of Bob: Episode 6 - Los Angeles is Burning

Fresh off the NBA All-Star break, the Apostles gathered on a day off to discuss the state of the New York Knicks and the monumental fear that comes with it. This crippling fear, of course, was proven 100% accurate by the Knicks when they got absolutely dismantled on Wednesday night in Indiana and schooled Friday night against Toronto. Yay! The Road to the 5th seed!

We also discuss the potential playoff outlook of the entire Eastern & Western Conferences, why we both hate Dwight Howard (I mean besides Nazi sympathizers, who doesn't?), and finally say a few kind words about the legendary Jerry Buss, may he rest in peace.

The Legal Limit - Episode 6: Three Popes, One Coach

El Barristo and Aps

Hey internet friends! The Sabres are mighty terrible, having dropped a snoozer to the East's worst team (actually the Sabres are now that), yet here we are to deconstruct the shit show and drink the beers.

This one, predictably, devolves into a #FireLindy party because, well, that's all we got.  Prove us wrong, Sabres. Please prove us wrong. You won't.

As always, our hot takes are set against the noises of New York City and the inevitable guy wearing really nice shoes and looking for change.

Using the Super Bowl as a jumping off point, they pit Baltimore-born Frank Zappa against San Francisco band The Bungles.  They break down the music like few can, drop some f bombs and giggle like little girls.  Par for the course from the ever-growing Deeg Podcast Industries.  I hate myself for typing that.

Episode 40: Jeers for Tears

In one of our shortest CrapTastiCasts ever, we struggle for subject matter after the Sabres' first loss of the season.  While you can't really say we succeeded, we showed up at least so that's something.  During the more lucid moments at this particular installment from the Buffalo expat insane asylum, we talk a little about the Sabres, a little about Manti Te'o, a little about baseball, and a little about man tears. The Scizz was off his rocker for most of the evening so don't expect much by way of focus... which, incidentally you should never really expect from us anyway.

Musical content by way of Deeg house band The Jambrones, Jane's Addiction, Radical Face and Aerosmith.

BroneCast - Episode 1: Cobras vs. Cotton Candy

In an effort to further expand our shitty digital universe here at the Deeg, contributors and house band members Jeff and Jon of The Jambrones have started a new podcast!

Not quite sports-related, Jeff and Jon's new series will focus on music - specifically their review of individual songs using perhaps the dorkiest music teacher rubric to determine a winner.

In the end, it's fucking rad.

With episode 1, the guys pit a hardcore tune from a Buffalo-based band against a manufactured pop tune from a young lady you probably hate.

Apostles of Bob: Episode 5 - Because Nobody Asked For It

The NHL lockout ends, so what does DGWU Sports do? We celebrate by bringing back our seldom listened to NBA only podcast. Nobody can ever say we're whores for page hits (*Cough* Buffalo Wins *Cough* Trending Buffalo *Cough Cough*).

The Yachtsman and Scizz are joined in this ep. by fellow Deeg member the Apologist aka the Cartographer aka the Jazzologist for some sexy-ass basketball takes. We discuss the top 5 teams in the NBA, and where the Knickerbockers rank among them. We sloppily break down the current roster status and predict whether or not it can get the team to the promise land that is the NBA Finals.

We also talk about who the best and worst analysts and announcers in the league are (surprise, we hate almost everyone from ESPN), the Carmelo/KG/Honey Nut Cheerios incident, Andray Blatche's potential sex scandal, and a look back at the crazy players we used to love. LATRELL NEEDS TO FEED HIS KIDS!

Episode 39: Loose Poops & Toilet Wine

Never has a CrapTastiCast required so much editing.

Sunday didn't go quite as planned. Our special guest for the afternoon was absent due to the failings of Time Warner's high-speed never really works internet so the rest of the NYC-based crew soldiered on with discussions of the Bills, Sabres, NHL and a silver platter of other topics that I can't be bothered to remember. We finish it off with another installation of our game "Scizz is a Douche," thereby giving us all the opportunity to show how stupid we are when we're a few deep.

Episode 38: I'm Dreaming of a White Podcast, with special guest Jeremy White

Back from a pretty long hiatus, the Deeg is back with another CrapTastiCast, and it's one some of you have been waiting for since Mr. White and I exchanged words over the NHL Lockout in October.  We spoke about having Jeremy chat record with us at the time, but daddy duties and Hurricane recovery put this on the backburner until now.

Perhaps that delay was for the best since, in the month and a half that has followed that initial twitter fight (God I feel so stupid typing that), Jeremy and I have had a chance to talk more about the lockout.  While I wouldn't say we've reached any kind of consensus on those issues that got me so heated in October, it's become apparent that Jeremy is a civil dude (not always readily apparent on twitter... which could be said about many) and that civility plays itself out on what you'll listen to here.

My apologies if you came here expecting nothing but our unridled asshole shtick. Frankly, we care too much about the issues of the lockout to cave into our sophomoric tendencies - at least this time - especially when we have a guest willing to look beyond the fact that I may or may not have called him a equivocating hack/dickhole back in October.

Which isn't to say that this CrapTastiCast is entirely devoid of those tendencies you've come to know and love. Along for the ride are The Scizz and The Continental. In addition to the lockout, we talk Bills, Jets, Mets, Knicks and stumble through a few completely inappropriate conversations about drugs in closets and Scizz's love for our 43rd President.

If you're only interested in our talk with Jeremy, cue it to 15:55 and enjoy. Also - give yourself the finger from us since we think you should listen to the whole fucking thing.

In addition to our usual intro, Deeg house band The Jambrones help us out with our first two musical interludes, while the rest is picked up by Audioslave and Brother Ali.

Bonus Episode: The Legal Limit #5 - A Triumphant Return

Apologist and Barrister, feat. The Continental

Oh dear. Craft beers. Whiskey. Vanishing dignity.
You may be aware that Apologist and I recently rendez-vous'd (not a word) for the Bills game Thursday night, using the time out at the bar as a perfect opportunity to revive the little-known Legal Limit podcast franchise. You also may be aware that new-to-the-Deeg Continental - of Smarten Up! mailbag fame - joined us, making her podcast debut.
You probably wouldn't have predicted this level of shit show, though. Good good, we are terrible. Actually, really, just the Barrister. He was most definitely over the legal limit, right guys? ... I'll show myself out.
We talk Bills/Dolphins, of course, but also take potshots at Al Gore, celebrate the Knicks move to 6-0 against the Spurs, talk about how the NBA may pick up disgruntled hockey fans during the lockout, commiserate Ryan Fitzpatrick's role in Bills franchise history, laugh about blunts and guns, and then bump into some Hurricane Sandy refugee Chicago Bears fans who happen to also love the Miami Heat. I'd claim it all makes sense in the end, but it most surely does not. Luckily, I'm pretty sure it's about what you've all come to expect from this embarrassment of a website.
Stream and download below. Cheers.

Episode 37: Rollbacks. America. Reality.

What a busy week it has been at DGWU Sports! Between news of the NHL Lockout and our battles with the various personalities at WGR for refusing, as is their custom, to engage with viewpoints other than (a) their own, or (b) those of the mouthbreathers who call into WGR and make it their mission to express their vehement disdain for everything in the world, there was a LOT to discuss when we gathered Wednesday night. More shots were fired and kindling put onto the world of Buffalo sports media so that we can continue to watch it burn. Heh. Sports.

Oh, and there are those Buffalo Bills, too, which is actually where we started in segment one as we recapped the shit show that was Sunday with the Deeg. Bills @ Cardinals was by no means an enjoyable time, but recapping the fun times we had and the trainwreck of a game ended up being pretty fun/depressing/rage-inducing.

In segment two we welcomed Colin Bruckel, one of the founders of TheHosers.com, a site we have linked to for a while and which provides stellar insight about the legal issues surrounding professional hockey and, in particular, the CBA. Colin's assessment of the current CBA negotiations was as interesting and well-presented as any I've heard, and it is an understatement to say that we were lucky to have him on. I would note, however, that since our discussion took place before the NHLPA presented its own offers to the league (and before Bettman rejected them immediately), you'll want to keep an eye on his site for more hot legal takes. Or you could continue being ignorant and just keep listening to the superficialities of sports talk radio.

Segment three brings it back to our wheelhouse of inappropriateness and ill-conceived sports takes as we talk the USMNT's win on Tuesday, the NBA's new policy restricting pre-game celebrations, Apologist's suicidal ideations following the Orioles' elimination from the playoffs, and our predictions for the Bills/Titans game this weekend. I must add that we had intended to talk more about (read: make fun of) Shawne Merriman's return to Buffalo, but had to toss that to the back burner so we'd have time to talk about the more pressing issues of gloating about our intellectual superiority over talk radio hosts. It's a burden, really. In any event, I'm hopeful that Merriman's second tenure in the 716 will give us plenty of opportunities to point and laugh.

Musical interludes this week are provided by Broken Bells, Gov't Mule & REO Speedwagon, as well as - of course - The Jambrones.

Episode 36: Terrified Baby Seals

Last night, the DGWU Sports Crew gathered at The Barrister's apartment to record another gem for your ear holes. After a slow week of written content at the site, it was nice to sit down and discuss all the many goings on in the sports world. Don't lie - we know you're excited.

Our first segment was almost exclusively devoted to debriefing the Bills game in Cleveland last weekend, as well as our thoughts about Buffalo's two delightful, injured running backs. Segment two gave us an opportunity to look ahead to the game this weekend against the Patriots as we were joined by the Deeg's Buffalo correspondent, The Outlander. That's right - steaming hot takes spit all the way from the 716. Outlander stayed for the third and final segment while we talked Dickey's 20th win, the Orioles' playoff hopes and the tire fire that is the the Boston Red Sox. We close out with a brief discussion of our plans to #OccupyBridgeport for an AHL game this fall. More on that to come in the next few weeks...

As always, the CrapTastiCast is brought in by the musical vomit of the Jambrones. Additional interludes include KansasSeal (I KNOW! AND YOU'RE WELCOME!), and Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross.

Bonus Episode: Live from One Bills Drive

Hey friends, Scizz here. Sunday morning/afternoon was a debacle of epic proportions. Every member of the Deeg (sans Barrister who was on baby watch), gathered at La Galleria parking lot to do some heavy tailgating, and then journeyed into "The Ralph" aka "The Odious Taint" to watch our Bills disembowel Matt Cassel and the Kansas City Chefs (not a typo).

It was grand.

As per usual, the Deeg were having too much fun to record an entire episode of the CrapTastiCast, and stumbled through several drunken segments that barely made sense. But through the miracle of shitty editing, I've managed to piece together what was salvageable in order to destroy your ear-holes. So apologies ahead of time for this hot mess, but I hope you can still enjoy some audio from what was one of the best tailgating/game experiences of my 25 year fan-hood. If you want something more coherent and professional, check out my appearance yesterday on Buffalo Wins' Talkamania.

Besides a few very special guests on the podcast, there are also musical breaks from Europe and Van Halen.

Episode 35: Leave the Gun. Take the Cannoli.

Still smarting from Sunday's Week 1 debacle? Still want to wallow a little more, while simultaneously having your favorite blowhards serenade your ear holes with ill-formed arguments, rage storms and jokes about strippers?

Of course you do.

The Deeg was in attendance at MetLife this weekend. While the Bills couldn't be bothered to bring their A Game, we showed up to play. And play we did.

That was creepy.

With a short pregame segment and a doggie bag full of hot takes from our ultimate, postgame trip back to the five boroughs, we discuss our terrible squad, undersized jerseys, canine cunnilingus, needle dick Jets fans, penis-hatted state troopers, and the presumptive end of the Ryan Fitzbeardy Era at One Bills Drive.

Recorded on an iPhone, what we lack in technical quality, we make up in faceless internet potshots.

Musical interludes by Buffalo hip hop duo Kinda Like Dreamin, the Violent Femmes and Queen.

Episode 34: How To Make An American Quilt

In this episode of the CrapTastiCast the guys gathered in Brooklyn and actually talked a little about Buffalo sports! The first segment includes discussions about the Bills this pre-season and how our high hopes may not be as high as we originally thought. The Yachtsman also takes some not so subtle potshots at a certain fan organization. Later in the segment there is a very heated argument about the Shane Doan contract offer that eventually turns into front office and coach bashing.

The second segment belongs solely to the Apologist, as he recounts step-by-step his encounter with some NYC youths recently in the streets at 3:30 AM. Yup, he got mugged. We took this opportunity to make him tell us the entire story. FUN!

The final segment is mostly a recap of Watkins Glen, which you may have noticed we didn't have a roadcast CrapTastiCast from. We explain. Musical breaks are from Pantera, M.O.P., and close friend of the podcast, Dr. Ooo.

Deeg Podcast Industries Boner Ep. - Infinite Sadness aka Olympic Trials

Much like Chuck Schumer, we love to hear ourselves talk. With the Bills and NFL G4 loans on our minds, we have a little chat about those and more Olympic matters. Scizz defends #NBCFAIL as the "best of the worst" and Barrister vies for @Sam_Hartman's role as Chief Apologist of the DGWU Crew. As usual.

We also gush over our excitement for NASCAR at Watkins Glen this weekend. More on that to follow, of course.

Named and uploaded to comport with our new podcast hosting home at Libsyn, make sure you subscribe to the CrapTastiCast for future Casts and Boner Eps!! Musical intro is from College featuring Electric Youth off of the awesome Drive soundtrack, and the outro getting us in the mood for "The Glen" is Blitzen Trapper.

Stay vigilant Buffalo. There's white vans in those woods.

Episode 33: I'll Hang Up and Listen

The DGWU Sports crew is back with another installment of the world famous CrapTastiCast. This week we talk a lot about Bills, including our annoyance with useless and boring coverage of training camp, what players/positions we are most excited to see, and the overall hopefulness this season is bringing fans (ourselves included for once!) We also wish Derek Roy all the best in his new endeavours, welcome in the newest Sabres that the Apologist has never heard of, and get fired up for the 2012 Summer Olympics by sharing the sports we are most excited about. We all also have some call-ins from sports fans from Buffalo and the Tri-state area!

Reminder to re-subscribe to the podcast through iTunes or Libsyn.com. And don't forget to check out the awesome Buffalo band that does our theme song, the Jambrones, on iTunes or YouTube. BECAUSE WE'RE BUFFALO!

We think you will really enjoy this one. Yesterday the fearsome foursome and a couple of their ladies (with brand new Deeg nicknames) gathered in Brooklyn to watch the Euro Cup final, get trashed, and record a new podcast. What followed included discussions about ridiculous ex-Sabre contracts,  couple farting, jersey purchases, dog sneeze bones, and another round of everybody's favorite sports trivia game, the newly named "Scott's a Douche"!

Not to mention a brand new intro theme song from The Jambrones!!! Don't forget to re-subscribe to the podcast next week after we switch over to Libsyn.com. Sneeze Bones!

We gathered on a Sunday afternoon to watch playoff hockey and the NBA from the Apologist’s apartment, while drinking an extraordinary amount of bloody mary's. Joining us was past guest and Aps’ roommate, “The Pink Elephant”, as we chatted about adoption, Raffi Torres, violence in the NHL, the Buffalo Bills and the NFL draft, and of course, high school yearbook quotes.

What a joyous occasion! The Sabres drop two in a row to smash our hopes and dreams of a playoff berth, so the Deeg got together at the home of the Scizz to bitch about it and watch Wrestlemania 28. ADULTHOOD!

On the eve of Yachtsman's 30th birthday, the Deeg drank lots of craft beer and gathered at the Apologist's apartment to record the big two-five, or the silver anniversary edition if you will. We open with a new theme dedicated to Mario Williams, and from there we go into rants of happiness about the new guy. Joe Pinzone and our dear friend, the Pink elephant join us also!

This week's episode was recorded from the dirty Jerz, and is a mishmosh of sports talk, that honestly, is way below our normal quota of offensive jokes. But you know what? Even the Deeg can get serious once in awhile. Now don't get it twisted, there are still PLENTY of the inappropriate, spit-take inducing moments you have come to know and love, but they are put on the back-burner to some actual sports-related discussions.
Comments[0]

This week's discussions include, but are not limited to: the Sabres shellacking from the Flyers, the rising probability they miss the playoffs and not giving a shit about it, Ted's vs. Louie's, brewing a DGWU beer (seriously happening), a hilarious and AMAZING breakdown of Yachter's airport attire, and finally, a super awkward story from the Scizz that involves the L train and a Joe Cribbs jersey.

This week we returned to Beast Studios with a full house, as all four Deeg members finally made it, as well as the infamous Joe Pinzone of Buffalo Wins, and producer Jess (aka Scizzette). NSFW nonsense and some actual sports talk follow.

This past Tuesday evening, the Deeg gathered at the Paris Cafe in NYC to watch the Sabres lose to the Leafs. While there, we figured we might as well record an entire episode, street-cast style. What followed was pure rage and nonsense.

The CrapTastiCast has another home to record from! With Megsie gallivanting around Berlin at the moment, the Deeg needed to record another podcast, and the shitty sound quality from my computer on ep. 19 is no longer a legit option, so the Scizzette came to the rescue! From her office, BEAST editorial in Union Square, we drank mucho cervezas, used hand held mics, and talked out of our collectives asses about things we know little to nothing about.
Comments[0]

This is one of our weirder CrapTastiCasts. In it, we split up the crew and recorded two separate CrapTastiCasts. The Barrister & The Apologist appear in the middle. The Myself & The Scizz handle the primary DJing responsibilities. What results is pure trash. We barely talk about the Sabres struggles, the woeful Bills. We focus more on masturbation jokes, playing music, and my dog's bone. For reals.

Episode 14 of the DGWU CrapTastiCast is another roadcast edition that was recorded at Watkins Glen International Speedway this past weekend. We promise you there is still Bills and Sabres talk this week. Enjoy!

Do not adjust your dial at the beginning of the podcast (are there dials on ipods?), that is 100% German techno you are hearing. Just bare through it. The rest of the podcast I can't even say much about. What you get is a cornucopia of drunken madness that includes LOTS of name calling, video game integrity, bovine insemination, Captain America, Buffalo accents, terrible baseball teams, the Demon Swede, pedaphiles, the creation of a super punter, and several on-air sing-alongs. When it's the offseason for all Buffalo sports, this what you get; all five us together for a podcast (a first!), with microphones and plenty of alcohol.

This week is chock full of guests, returns, and absenteeism. You are probably familiar with Andy as one of the dudes that runs Die By The Blade, which has become the major blogosphere hub for all Sabres information on the interwebs. However, what you may not know is that Andy is a really awesome and cool dude that was a pleasure to have on the CrapTastiCast, AND really knows his shit to boot. We also welcomed Joe from Buffalo Wins into the studio for some takes. Three Blogs, one podcast. Did we just blow your mind? Probably not but it was still cool to have Joe on board for the night. We all talk Sabres, Bills, beer, the WECK1230 situation, & the blogger summit. It was incredible. Thanks to Andy, Joe, Megsie, and Mondee for everything!

On Saturday, the entire DGWU crew set out on a road trip adventure from NYC to lovely East Stroudsburg, PA to watch our beloved FC Buffalo take on the Pocono Snow in some NPSL action. What transpired was pure chaos. We discuss the glorious 24 hours that preceded our trip and then we also almost die. Seriously. Listen early on, around the 3:50 mark for that. We also talk about sports, make some new friends, hide beers from security guards, lead Buffalo chants throughout a bar, and finally Yachtsman and Scizz fight to the death in the middle of Main Street in downtown East Stroudsburg. Last but not least, listen closely to segment three. An old friend of the CrapTastiCast joins us live for some soccer talk and hilarious commentary. This was a night for the history books.

We also welcome Apologist back from the dead and talk baseball allegiances and obscure player names, the Sabres Summit, what will happen when the Bills move to L.A., videogames, Tim Thomas (the basketball player of course), the NFL lockout, inferiority complexes, why we are frustrating idiots, ESPN hate, and naturally we take faceless potshots at people we don't know. Everything is back to normal. Mondee even adds in a solid heavy metal outro for us. Name that tune in the comments section (we're looking at you Phil). This is it. The best one yet. In episode 9 we have an incredibly inspirational and in depth conversation on anything and everything to do with Buffalo and the trials and tribulations of trying to make things work there.....with special guest Nick Mendola! Definitely a representation of what we aspire to be in our more sober moments here at DGWU. Nick as you may know is the host of his own radio show on WECK 1230 and runs his own blog at nickmendola.com. We'll say this: if you ever only listen to one of our Craptasticasts, a) eff yourself you aren't loyal and b) please listen to this one because it's one of the best we've had so far. We had an amazing conversation with Nick, and the topics/sentiments brought forward in that interview should be shared among forward-minded Buffalonians worldwide. (Don't scoff at that, you know we're all over the place)

This week's Craptasticast is a Two-Fer, representing the best of DGWU and the absolute dredge worst. Part I is a continuation of the train wreck that was last week's cast, where we talk about topics such as "Scizz went to a camp called Jesus Your Compadre" and whether or not The Apologist was dead (he wasn't. and isn't). We also introduce the Barrister to the podcast realm. Part II (coming on Monday) on the other hand is an incredibly inspirational and in depth conversation on anything and everything to do with Buffalo and the trials and tribulations of trying to make things work there.....with special guest Nick Mendola! Definitely a representation of what we aspire to be in our more sober moments here at DGWU.

On this edition of the CrapTastiCast: Still drunk, the crew talks about their respective experiences from the night before, Joe Buck (Yachtsman met him and embarrassed himself), Macho Man Randy Savage, guys named McNabb, Winnipeg hockey, why we moved to New York City, a little NBA talk, the potential arrests of Buffalo Bills players this off-season. We also spend quite awhile making fun of "Buffalo: For Real" and have our first Dear God, Why Us Sports contest! This week we of course talk about all the amazing stuff happening over at BuffaloWins, including Joe's ambitious "What if" series and the newest addition to his staff, Fake Darcy. We also discuss why Jets fans are the worst, what our lives would be like if Scott Norwood makes that kick, the FC Buffalo game in Brooklyn (we got hosed), the heartbreak of being a Buffalo fan and why the site got it's name, which off-season we are more excited about, and whole lot of NBA chatter! Joe does an amazing job and fits right in with the rest of us bozo's and even joined us from some high alcohol content beers after the show.

In this episode we talk all things game four, including the awesomeness that is Ryan Miller, Lindy Ruff calling out the whiny Flyers, the young guys stepping up, Richards' elbow, "Gate-gate", and of course Tim Connolly's inability to win face-offs, but ability to score on Chippewa. We also introduce the newest version of our Sabres Crunk Mix theme song, preview our interview with Phil, introduce "60 seconds of Knicks talk" with the Apologist, talk NFL draft plans for next week, play Nick Mendola's brilliant rendition of "Daniel", and make fun of the Yachtsman....A LOT. As always, a big thanks goes out to Megsy and Mondee, and of course Phil for being patient with us assholes. The interview is worth the wait folks!

Holy crap we made another one! In episode 2 of the CrapTastiCast, we learned to not talk over each other enough and stroked each other's egos. We all discussed the importance of being from Western New York, Game one and two the Sabres/Flyers opening round series, and of course, why we all hate Danny Briere. Sorry for all the f-bombs Mom!

In our first ever podcast, we talk all things Buffalo Sabres....mostly over each other. The Yachtsman eats crow. The Apologist stays leary of the Pegula Era. The Scizz makes bad pop-culture references to Neverending Story and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
